Launching and scaling a regulated medical manufacturing business is not a simple journey. It requires navigating FDA requirements, quality systems, cybersecurity controls, capital planning, and long-term growth strategy—often all at the same time. For Advasaf LLC, having the right guidance at the right moments made a meaningful difference, and the support from the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has been instrumental in that progress.
Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Advasaf LLC delivers critical services across the medical device lifecycle, including sterilization, packaging, assembly, labeling, and distribution support. These services enable medical device manufacturers to meet strict FDA and quality system requirements so products can safely reach patients.
From the earliest stages, the SBDC team brought clarity to an otherwise complex startup environment. Business planning support, guidance on supplier diversity programs, and assistance navigating minority-owned business registration allowed Advasaf to build a strong operational and compliance foundation. What stood out most was not just the technical expertise, but the genuine commitment of advisors who truly cared about helping the business succeed.
As Advasaf expanded, access to the SBDC’s Go Global resources became increasingly important. Through the ExportTech program, we began building a deeper understanding of international readiness, market diversification, and the practical realities of exporting regulated products. Having experienced professionals who could say, “We’ve seen this before—here’s how to avoid the mistake,” proved invaluable. For small manufacturers, avoiding costly missteps can be just as important as securing funding.
Financial and operational support also played a key role. Through SBDC-connected technical assistance, Advasaf received hands-on support with QuickBooks and financial reporting. The value was not generic training, but patient, problem-specific guidance that addressed real operational challenges step by step—exactly what small businesses need when resources and time are limited.
Today, Advasaf operates commercial-scale, medical-grade sterilization capabilities in Wisconsin—reducing lead times, lowering costs, and minimizing logistical complexity for manufacturers who would otherwise need to ship products out of state. The company continues to grow, supported by lean manufacturing practices, robust quality systems, and cybersecurity controls essential in FDA-regulated environments.
Looking ahead, Advasaf is expanding into proprietary product development and training solutions for injectable medical technologies, including simulation-based tools that help clinicians safely practice techniques for higher-viscosity materials such as Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA). This next phase builds directly on the operational discipline, regulatory mindset, and strategic planning strengthened through SBDC engagement.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share this journey and sincerely thank the SBDC team for their professionalism, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to Wisconsin businesses. Programs like these do more than provide resources—they empower entrepreneurs with confidence, clarity, and the strategic direction needed to grow responsibly and sustainably.
We look forward to continuing this collaboration and are proud to demonstrate the measurable impact the SBDC has on innovation, advanced manufacturing, and economic growth across Wisconsin.
