Precision Synthetic Injection Training Without Biological Hazards or Electronic Dependencies
A purely mechanical replication system for clinical volumizing procedures, delivering authentic haptic resistance and real-time visual feedback.
AdvaSaf Simulate replicates the physical mechanics, form factor, and tactile feedback of commercial medical syringes and high-viscosity injectable fillers. It operates entirely through tuned physical mechanics, without electronics, sensor arrays, external screens, or light-emitting needles. Clinicians can repeatedly practice laryngeal voice augmentation, deep facial volumizing, and mucosal reconstruction without biohazard protocols, animal or cadaver tissue limits, or patient liability.
Practice the Force Before the Procedure
"Airway obstruction results from aggressive vocal fold injection, over-injection, or laryngeal edema from trauma and manipulation of the larynx."
Standard warning from commercial laryngeal injectable instructions for use, including Prolaryn Plus and Renu Voice.
Commercial volumizing implants, including calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres and carboxymethylcellulose gels, require significant extrusion pressure through fine needles or long transoral shafts. Inexperienced technique can produce a sudden pressure drop, over-injection, superficial placement, or tissue trauma that leads to glottic swelling and airway compromise.
AdvaSaf Simulate is a non-patient, zero-risk bench for that same mechanical problem. Repeated practice builds muscle memory for smooth plunger control, a uniform extrusion rate, correct needle depth, and precise bolus volume before the clinician enters the operating room.
What AdvaSaf Simulate Changes
Direct Injection Depth Visualization
Optically clear and translucent tissue layers show needle-tip placement, bolus formation, and injection depth while the trainee is still on the syringe.
Non-Electronic Mechanical Design
Break-loose and glide resistance come from the hydrogel and the syringe, not from sensors or software. The trainer stays a physical instrument the clinician can rehearse with anywhere.
White and Blue Hydrogels
Syringe systems use specific viscoelastic hydrogels to mimic the viscosity of medical-grade volumizers. Blue is for depth tracking. White is for high contrast.
Gels, Syringes, Needles, and Anatomy
Customers can start with a configured training set or buy formulations, delivery hardware, needles, and anatomical modules separately.
Hydrogel Formulations
AdvaSaf Simulate Blue. A translucent blue viscoelastic gel. The color is visible through clear anatomical layers, so the trainee can confirm needle-tip placement, bolus shape, and injection depth in real time.
AdvaSaf Simulate White. An opaque white viscoelastic gel. The high-contrast appearance stands out against dark or colored accessories, surgical scopes, and internal landmarks.
Syringe Systems
Pre-filled or refillable hardware is available in standard 2.5 mL syringes and commercial BD 3 mL luer lock syringes.
Custom 1.5 mL CaHA-analog syringes match the barrel geometry, friction, and push-force kinetics of commercial calcium hydroxylapatite and heavy bulking agents, including Radiesse (Merz Aesthetics), Prolaryn Gel and Prolaryn Plus (Merz Aesthetics), and Renu (Cytophil). Paired needle hardware is calibrated for equivalent extrusion, typically 25 N to 44.5 N.
Calibrated Needles
Needle accessories are the same geometries used in benchtop push-force benchmarking, so flow resistance matches the clinical comparison.
Superficial and dermal. 25G to 30G fine needles, 13 mm (0.5 inch), for dermal, lip, and wrinkle practice. Target push force 5 N to 9 N.
Deep tissue and mucosal. 100 mm to 150 mm needles for gynecological and submucosal reconstruction models.
Transoral laryngeal. 25G rigid or angled shafts, 200 mm to 250 mm, straight or up to 40 degrees, for vocal-fold injection laryngoplasty. Target push force 25 N to 44.5 N.
Synthetic Anatomy on a Common Base
Optically clear or translucent silicone modules with distinct tissue boundaries and landmarks. Each module mounts on a standardized base.
Larynx Module
Simulated vocal cords, tongue, esophagus, and rigid tracheal cartilage for percutaneous and transoral vocal-fold injection laryngoplasty.
Facial and Deep Malar Module
Epidermis, dermis, hypodermis, muscle, and periosteum planes for mid-face volume restoration and deep bolus placement.
Hand and Skin Module
Dorsal hand structures and multi-layer skin sheets for superficial spreading, subcutaneous placement, and avoiding contour irregularities.
Multi-Layer Tissue Simulation
Silicone modules for the larynx, face, and skin use optically clear layers so needle path and bolus location stay visible during practice. Layers are built as separate tissue boundaries rather than a single solid block.

Viscosity Tuned to the Indication
AdvaSaf Simulate is built at AdvaSaf LLC's ISO 13485:2016 certified medical manufacturing facility in Anaheim, California. The engineering team calibrates water-based cross-linked polymer hydrogels to a requested push force from 5 N to 120 N, from water-like fluids to dense, highly elastic bulking agents.
Viscosity Matching
Elastic storage modulus (G′), loss modulus (G″), apparent viscosity, and non-Newtonian yield stress set to the target indication.
Fill and Assembly
Cleanroom filling of off-the-shelf and proprietary syringe geometries, with specified needle length, gauge, and tip.
Kitting
Training kits assembled with needle accessories, anatomical blocks, and branded documentation for device firms and teaching programs.
Empirical Testing and Protocol Checks
Comparative Push Force
Bench measurements in newtons, taken with standardized push gauges, are compared with published clinical data for Radiesse, Renu, and Prolaryn Gel and Prolaryn Plus.
Procedural Walkthroughs
Demonstration material covers plunger mechanics, needle-angle navigation, and bolus deposition inside the clear anatomical modules.
Repeatability
Institutional protocols check repeat push-force consistency, including operator series on the order of n = 30, inside an allowed newton variance.
